KABUL (Pajhwok): Forty-five children with burn and bone infection have returned to the country after being treated in Germany and another 89 children are for treatment there, the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) said on Thursday.
At a ceremony at Kabul International Airport, Head of ARCS Sheikh Shahbuddin Delawar thanked officials and doctors of the German Peace Village for its humanitarian aid in different fields and facilities in the field of treatment, care and protection of children with burns and bone infection.
On X, ARCS quoted Delwar as saying: “ARCS refers children with burn and bone infection diseases, whose ages range from 1 to 11 years, to Germany for treatment twice a year based on contract with Charity Foundation”.
ARCS hoped this process will continue, he added.
Today, 45 children with burn and bone infection have returned to the country after being treated in Germany and 89 others departed for treatment.
