TIRINIKOT (Pajhwok): A brigade commander of the Afghan National Army (ANA) has been killed in a Taliban attack in central Uruzgan province.
A security official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Pajhwok Afghan News 7th brigade commander Zabihullah Ghayur was killed in a clash with militants late on Sunday.
He said Zabihullah came under Taliban attack in Chinarak area where he had gone in connection with the construction of a military base.
The Taliban, however, have not yet commented on the ANA commander’s killing in the provincial capital.
