HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Power utility director for western Herat province on Sunday said nearly 65 megawatts of electricity would be generated in future with completion of two wind and solar power projects.
Tamim Safi, head of the provincial Brisha Sherkat, said in an exclusive interview with Pajhwok Afghan News that there was enough capacity in the province to generate power from solar and wind.
He said they had launched several projects in Herat, including a 25 megawatt wind energy project in Robat Sangi district with financial support of a Turkish company.
