DUSHANBE (Pajhwok): Wolesi Jirga speaker Mir RahmanRahmani on Sunday said the Taliban had no desire for peace, urging Tajikistan to put pressure on the group to accept peace.
Rahmani made these remarks during a meeting with representatives of Afghan refugees in Dushanbe, Tajikistan today.
During the meeting, also attended by Afghanistan’s ambassador to Dushanbe, Mohammad ZahirAghbar, Rahmani said the Taliban had no intention of making peace and instead had increased violence in Afghanistan.
He said the Taliban delegation recently traveled to other countries instead of attending peace talks in Doha.
According to Rahmani, the Taliban are preparing for spring . . .
