KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 17 new positive COVID-19 cases have been recorded in eight provinces of Afghanistan in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Public Health said on Tuesday.
The ministry said 1,449 people underwent tests during the past 24 hours and the virus was detected in 17 people, pushing the overall tally to 55,776.
Of the fresh cases, five were recorded in Kabul, four in Takhar, three in Kandahar and one each in Herat, Kunduz, Laghman, Daikundi and Nooristan provinces.
