KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Friday announced registering 13 new Covid-19 infection cases during the past 24 hours.
The new cases pushed the overall nationwide tally to 55840, the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry said 1430 suspected cases of the corona virus were tested in laboratories across the country, with 13 testing positive.
The new cases include four in Nangarhar, three in Herat, one each in Kabul, Kandahar, Takhar, Logar, Kunar and Uruzgan provinces.
During the period, nine people recovered from the virus, taking the total recoveries to 49365, the statement said.
