KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Sunday announced detecting 172 new positive Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours nationwide.
The ministry in a statement said 2,189 people underwent tests since Saturday and the virus was found in 80 people, pushing the overall tally to 59,015.
It said 60 cases were detected in Nangarhar, 33 in Kabul , 13 in Helmand, 10 in Bamyan, eight in Kandahar, Laghman, seven each in Parwan, Kapisa, six in Urozgan, five in Baghlan, four each in Panjsher, Paktika, three in Kunar, two in Kunduz and one each in Takhar . . .
