KABUL (Pajhwok): Amid troop withdrawal, the US military says it has moved the equivalent of 60 C-17 loads of material out of Afghanistan
The Washington Times reported on Tuesday the US military had handed over more than 1,300 pieces of equipment to the Defense Logistics Agency for destruction.
On May 2, the US military also transferred Camp New Antonik in southern Helmand province to Afghan forces.
In a statement, the US Central Command said the American forces in Afghanistan had completed between 2% to 6% of the entire retrograde process.
The United States will provide a weekly update on the status of the withdrawal process, according to the CENTCOM release.
