KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 221 new Covid-19 cases and 12 deaths have been recorded in Afghanistan in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Public Health said on Sunday.
The ministry said 1,944 people underwent tests during the past 24 hours and the virus was detected in 221, pushing the overall tally to 62,063.
Of the fresh cases, 50 were recorded in Kabul, 43 in Nangarhar, 36 in Kandahar, 22 in Parwan, 20 in Herat, 10 in Nimroz, nine in Logar, five each in Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Panjshir and Urozgan provinces, three in Kunduz, two each in . . .
