KABUL (Pajhwok): Covid-19 infection rate is still spreading throughout India but it is reducing on global level.
The deadly virus was initially detected in the Wuhan city of China before it spread to 200 countries and regions around the globe. The virus mostly harmed the US, India and Brazil.
According to international sources, over 70 million people have been infection and around one million died due to the virus in the above three countries.
Worldometer, a website that provides Covid-19 related information and figures on a daily basis reported that 163m people have been infected, 3.3 million have died and 142m people have recovered from the virus as of Monday noon.
The website on January 8, 2021 reported that around 850,000 worldwide infections and also reported nearly 17,000 deaths from the virus on January 20.
According to the website, worldwide Covid-19 infections reduced in January this year and until first two weeks of April but in the last 10 days of April these numbers rapidly increased once again in some countries including Brazil and India.
The source reported 905,000 Covid-19 infections and over 15,000 deaths in a single day on April 29, 2021.
Since last few days, the Covid-19 infections rate has lowered again; yesterday worldwide Covid-19 infections were 538,000 and 9,853 deaths.
