KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 221 new Covid-19 cases and six deaths have been recorded in Afghanistan in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Public Health said on Monday.
The ministry in a statement said 1,822 people underwent tests during the past 24 hours and the virus was detected in 221, pushing the overall tally to 63,819.
Of the fresh cases, 76 were recorded in Kabul, 50 in Kandahar, 21 in Herat, 18 in MaidanWardak, 17 in Helmand, nine in Baghlan, seven in Nangarhar, six each in Badakhshan and Laghman, five in Khost, two each in Kunar . . .
