KABUL (Pajhwok): An official of the Ministry of Urban Development and Land (MoUDL) has been arrested over charges of misusing government property and distribution of plots on his own.
WaheedRahmani, director of the MoUDL Privatization Department, was arrested by the Department of Serious Crimes.
An official of the Ministry of Interior (MoI), wishing anonymity, confirmed that an investigation in this regard was underway.
Sources said that Rahmani had already processed government property contracts in several cases in violation of the procurement law and the government has lost millions of dollars as a result.
