KABUL (Pajhwok): Positive Covid-19 cases and deaths from the infection are on the increase in Afghanistan where over 1,800 new cases and 71 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Public Health said on Monday.
The ministry in a statement said 5,070 tests were conducted during the past 24 hours and the virus was detected in 1,804 people, bringing the overall tally to 93,272.
Of the fresh cases, 363 were recorded in Kabul, 147 in Balkh, 101 in Kandahar, 99 each in Bamiyan and Panjshir, 96 in Nangarhar, 91 in Logar . . .
