GARDEZ (Pajhwok): A fifty bed Covid-19 hospital inaugurated in southeastern Paktia province on Friday, an official said.
The facility was launched by Assistant Governor Abdul Wali Sahi. Public Department Director Raees Khan Ahmadzai and local elders were present on the occasion.
The hospital is funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), furnished with 50 bed hospital, Operation Theater and ICU.
ADB has provided Afghanistan with $20 million interest free loan though which 15 new coronavirus hospitals will be constructed in the country while five more will be rehabilitated.
