KABUL (Pajhwok): Sayed Mohammad Mohammadi, a Wolesi Jirga member from Kabul, has died of an illness at a hospital in the capital, a public representative said on Sunday.
Mir Rahman Rahmani, speaker of the lower house, wrote on his Facebook page that the death of Syed Mohammad Mohammadi, a lawmaker was an irreparable loss.
A Wolesi Jirga source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Pajhwok that Mohammadi -- a former jihadi commander -- had died due to Covid-19.
He said the legislator would be laid to rest at the Parliament cemetery.
