KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Wednesday said it registered 1,575 new positive Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours nationwide.
The ministry in a statement said 5,499 people underwent tests since Saturday and the virus was detected in 23 people, pushing the overall tally to 109,532.
It said 281 cases were detected in Kabul, 158 in Nangarhar, 140 in Balkh, 118 in Ghazni, 112 in Takhar, 102 in Kandahar, 68 in Samangan, 67 in Maidan Wardak, 57 in Herat, Faryab and Farah each, 40 in Kunar and Zabul each, 38 in Parwan . . .
