Islamabad hopes Taliban won’t allow TTP to harm Pakistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): Pakistan interior minister Sheikh Rashid has asked the  Afghan Taliban not to allow Pakistani Taliban and other groups to harm the neighboring country.

According to Dewa Radio, a US-run news agency, Rashid addressing a press conference in Islamabad that Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan had told the US that his country would not allow to host military bases.

“No one will ever be allowed to use the soil of Pakistan against Afghanistan”, he added.

The Afghan government usually accusesPakistan of harboring Taliban who organize their attacks against Afghanistan from there.

“We hope the Taliban will not allow TTP and other groups to harm Pakistan,” Rashid said.

A few days back, a member of the ruling Tehreek-i-Insaf Party, HashamInamullah in a meeting had said that ‘good’ Taliban will continue fighting in Afghanistan for the defense of Pakistan.

This comes as Pakistanis ran a twitter trend under hashtag of Talibanourguardians since last few days.
