KABUL (Pajhwok): The director of a private TV channel says armed men raided his house in Kabul and took away three vehicles and two laptop computers.
Enikas TV has been operating in eastern Nangarhar province for the past three years. It suspended broadcasts due to security threats last month.
Eng. Zalmai, director of the TV channel, told Pajhwok Afghan News over the telephone that a number of gunmen entered his house in Arzan Qimat area.
Zalmai also informed the Taliban security head for the area. But before the arrival of the security personnel, the gunmen took away three vehicles, including an armored.
According to Zalmai, the gunmen also took away two laptops from his residence. He said he was currently living with relatives.
However, the International Federation of Journalists blamed the Taliban for the overnight robbery.
