KABUL (Pajhwok): The World Health Organization (WHO) chief has arrived in Kabul to assess the health situation in Afghanistan and to continue his organization assistance.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus would meet Afghan officials to assess the health situation in the country, Al-Jazeera reported.
According to reports, the WHO director reached Kabul to support Afghanistan’s health institutions.
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said the visit comes after the suspension of World Bank assistance to Afghanistan’s health sector and aimed at continuing the aid.
