KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Pine nut Growers' Association has called on the government to ban the smuggling of the dried fruit out of the country and reactivate economic corridors with Europe and China.
Yousuf Khan, a member of the association's board and spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that recent changes had brought the country's economic cycle to a near standstill. “At this critical time, turning the economy around and reaching out to the people should be a priority of the government, exporters and traders," Khan said in a statement.
