KABUL (Pajhwok): A new agreement signed between the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI), Kam Air airlines and pine nuts exporters on Monday to help boost pine nuts export through air-corridor, the ACCI said in a statement.
The agreement will help re-launch the export of rare dry fruit through air corridor, according to the ACCI statement.
Mohammad Younis Mohmand, ACCI deputy head asked Kam Air airlines to reduce the fare of pine nuts export since there was no subsidy and lack of government support.
He also urged greater cooperation from concerned government institutions and other relevant authorities.
Ghulam Jilani Wafa, secretary aviation and transportation while referring the vital role of private sector in the country’s economy said it was the Transport Ministry’s responsibility to support the export sector of the country.
Dildar Zadran, head of the pine nuts exporters, hailed the cooperation of pine nuts exporters and said the ACCI always tried to promote business in the country and also helped strengthened the export of pine nuts.
