LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Residents of southern Helmand province say fuel prices have risen sharply as winter approaches, a problem that has worried people.
They say fuel prices in the past would slightly rise in winter, but this time they are unprecedentedly high.
The complaint about high rates of fuel comes amid increasing unemployment and poverty in many parts of the country.
Abdul Wahed, a resident of Lashkargah, capital of Helmand, told Pajhwok Afghan News that winter had not yet arrived but prices of fuel, particularly gas and wood, had peaked.
