ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Residents of eastern Kunar province say health centers in the province have been lacking required medicines for the past few months and people have to buy medicines from private pharmacies.
People’s complaints increased after the termination of a contract with health facilities in Kunar nearly five months ago by an international organization to provide medicines, medical supplies and other financial assistance.
Ismail, a resident of Manogi, a remote district, told Pajhwok Afghan News the district health center had run out of essential medicines and other health services had been significantly reduced since the Taliban took over.
