KABUL (Pajhwok): The World Food Program (WFP) says conflict, climate change and Covid-19 have left three million people of Afghanistan in hunger, but the program would provide assistance to about 23 million people.
The WFT Afghanistan agency tweeted that David Beasely, the UN WFP chief executive, who recently visited Afghanistan, said it was providing assistance to about 23 million people in Afghanistan.
Currently, about 45 million people in 23 countries around the world are facing hunger, only three million are in Afghanistan.
