LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Agriculture with the support of ANCC has distributed refined wheat seed among 750 drought and conflict affected farmers in the Kajaki district of southern Helmand province.
Agriculture Director Mawlavi Syed Jalaluddin Agha told Pajhwok Afghan News with the support of ANCC 750 farmers distributed refined wheat seed.
He said these farmers suffered losses due to drought and conflict and they were identified through a survey.
He said with the distribution of refined seed their crops will generate more yield, adding that in the future every farmer will be distributed 1,000 kilograms of urea.
Farmers Ali Mohammad and Mohammad Asif told Pajhwok Afghan News farmers in the northern Helmand suffered a lot due to drought and conflict.
They asked officials to pay more attention to these districts.
