Fiscal year to start from March 21: Cabinet

KABUL (Pajhwok): The cabinet on Tuesday banned the import of low-quality fuel and other items to the country and decided that the fiscal year will start from the first date of solar year.

According to a statement issued by the Administrative Affairs Office, the cabinet meeting strictly banned the import of low-quality fuel, gas and other substandard goods, stressing that it would take serious action against importers.

Since 1390 solar year, the fiscal year starts on January 1 but the cabinet decided that the fiscal year would start on March 21.

The statement added that the cabinet also approved the supplementary budget draft prepared by the Finance Ministry for the remaining three months of the current year (January, February and March) without any changes.
