TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Passengers and drivers on the Uruzgan-Kandahar highway on Monday demanded the government reconstruct the important road and put an end to their misery.
The 175km long Uruzgan-Kandahar highway has been in a state of disrepair for the past two decades and people are having difficulty travelling on it.
The construction of the road was started several times during the previous government but it was stopped due to insecurity and other problems. But now that the fighting has stopped, people are demanding the construction of the road as soon as possible.
