KABUL (Pajhwok): The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has expressed concern over the grim economic situation in Afghanistan, calling on the international community to help the Afghan people in economic and health services.
Eloi Fillion, head of the ICRC delegation in Afghanistan, tweeted on Friday that his organisation would try to continue lifesaving service in the health sector of Afghanistan.
“ICRC tries to prevent the collapse of the health system and allow health workers to continue providing lifesaving services to people. Humanitarian efforts won’t be enough to compensate for the collapse of the public sector,” he said . . .
