KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health on Sunday said 40,000 people are diagnosed with cancer each year in Afghanistan and half of them lose their lives.
February 4 is celebrated as World Cancer Day every year to educate people about cancer and ways to prevent the disease.
To mark the day, a ceremony was held in Kabul under the theme ‘Fill your responsibility in taking care of a cancer patient’.
