KABUL (Pajhwok): Former national security advisor Hamdullah Mohib has dismissed rumours about the return of former president Ashraf Ghani to Kabul.
Mohib said Ghani supported a “fundamental national debate” that would represent all citizens of Afghanistan.
On August 15, 2021, ex-president and some other former officials fled the country and their government collapsed, with the Taliban forming a caretaker administration.
Of late, there has been speculation about Ghani is return to Kabul. The rumours started circulating after the visit of Salam Rahimi, former minister of state for peace and a close aide to Ghani, to the capital.
