KABUL (Pajhwok): Sixty-two people tested positive for coronavirus while two patients died in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said on Saturday.
Dr. Javid Hazeez, the spokesperson for the MoPH, said 673 suspected samples were received in the past 24 hours of which 62 cases were positive.
Sixteen persons contracted coronavirus in Takhar, 13 in Badakhshan, 10 in Samangan, nine in Zabul, eight in Ghazni, three each in Laghman and Sar-i-Pul province.
Fifty-three persons have recovered from the virus while two patients died in the past 24 hours.
