KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): A health center funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has been constructed and put into service in southern Kandahar province.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Philip Grande, UNHCR head of Asia and Haji Mohammad Yousaf Wafa, the governor of Kandahar and other officials.
Grande said the health center had two main corridors, 18 rooms and four bathrooms and was built in six months at a cost of $212,723.
He was glad over the establishment and opening of the health center, saying the UN was committed to assisting Afghanistan in different fields . . .
