KUNDUZ (Pajhwok): Six tonnes of low quality and expired medicines torched in northern Kunduz province, an official said on Monday.
Public Health Director Dr. Najeebullah Sahil said six tonnes of expired medicine was collected from different parts of the province in the past six months.
He said markets and stores were being inspected to inspect the quality of medicine and food items, adding that no one will be allowed to sell low quality and expired medicine or food on masses.
He said expired medicines not only harmful for illness but it has other side-effects in human body.
