KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Wednesday said 117 cases of HIV/AIDS were registered in the country in 2021 and seven patients died of the disease.
A spokesman for MoPH, Javed Hajir, told Pajhwok Afghan News 117 cases of HIV / AIDS were registered in the last one year, commonly in people aged between 15 years to 49 years.
AIDS transmits from one person to another, according to health experts.
The virus kills white blood cells, which fight diseases and germs. Thus the body loses its resistance to every common and serious disease and causes death.
