Despite infrastructure and other technical shortcomings, the education director was thrilled to see the interest and eagerness of students with education.

He said the issue of the buildings had been shared with the central government and aid providing agencies.

Hamid Qarlaq, a resident of Dash-i-Qala district, said many students in the district were studying under the open sky and this was something of their concern.

He said the lack of educational materials and school buildings were key challenges about which the officials of the Islamic Emirate government should think.
