KABUL (Pajhwok): Over 1,500 Afghan refugees have returned to Afghanistan from neighbouring Iran in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said on Friday.
Nimroz Refugees Department noted that 1,534 Afghans have returned from Iran only via border crossing in Nimroz province, ministry wrote on its facebook account.
Off the returned refugees, 1,255 had been forced while 279 returned by their own choice, the source said.
The ministry said that 40 repatriated families and 443 people had been referred to the International Orgnaization of Migration for financial support.
It is pertinent to mention that after the fall of previous government more and more people have started migrating to foreign countries.
