KABUL (Pajhwok): Renowned Pakistani scholar Mufti Taqi Usmani has demanded the reopening of girls’ schools in Afghanistan.
Mufti Usmani, who heads an influential Darul Ulum in Karachi, made the demand in a letter to the Taliban’s supreme leader Shaikh Haibatullah Akhunzada.
Text of the letter, dispatched to the Taliban leader two days ago, is available on Darul Ulum’s website.
He begins by congratulating the Taliban leader on coming to power in Afghanistan and prayed for their success in making Afghanistan Islamic welfare and a happy state.
