KABUL (Pajhwok): The World Food Programme (WFP) has delivered aid to over one million vulnerable people in four provinces of Afghanistan during last months.
On its Twitter handle, WFP wrote that last months over one million less fortunate people in four provinces had been delivered aid.
“Starting today in North-Eastern Afghanistan, in the Fayzabad district of Badakhshan province, 1600 families, mostly women headed households, received food assistance this month.@WFPhas supported 697,551 people in Badakhshan in March 2022.”
“In Southern Afghanistan, in the Delaram district of Nimroz province, 4084 families have received their food assistance so far this month @WFP has supported 153,800 people across the province in March 2022.”
In Central Afghanistan, the organization said, in the Mahmud Raqi district of the smallest province in the country called Kapisa, 6400 households had received cash assistance this month and 89,630 people have been reached out in Kapisa in March 2022 by @WFP.”
“In Eastern Afghanistan, in the Narang district of Kunar province, 1889 households have received their food assistance this month. And across the province @WFP has reached out to 128,283 people in Kunar in March 2022.”
