SHARAN (PAN): Local officials in southeastern Paktika province on Saturday said a girl was rescued from her kidnappers in the province.
Paktika deputy police chief Mullah Javed Badri told Pajhwok Afghan News that the girl was kidnapped from Toda Chin area of Mata Khan district today morning.
However, he said security forces rescued the girl from the kidnappers near Sulaiman Healthcare Center in Sharana, the provincial capital.
“Security forces were searching vehicles in the area. When the kidnappers had reached the area, they took off the girl from their vehicle and then fled from the area,” he said.
He added that the kidnappers had dressed the girl in boys’ clothes and wanted to take her to another area.
Security forces are chasing the kidnappers to arrest them, he said.
Meanwhile, a family member of the girl, Ismatullah, told Pajhwok that the girl was abducted today morning but security forces handed her over to them after her rescue.
