TALOQAN (Pajhwok): The Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department of northern Takhar province on Monday said that 3,600 needy families received food and cash aid in the Yangi Qala and Khwaja Bahauddin districts of the province.
Samiullah Samim, Takhar Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the World Food Program (WFP) distributed the aid which included flour, cooking oil and peas, to 3,000 needy families in Yangi Qala district in coordination with his department.
Samim said another 600 poor families were distributed cash aid in Khwaja Bahauddin district by Concern Worldwide, Ireland’s largest aid . . .
