JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Due to the past governments’ negligence and natural disasters, historical sites and monuments in eastern Nangarhar province have suffered damages, information and culture officials say.
They say a total of 41 historical places and monuments in different parts of the province have been registered with the culture department. The Hadi Museum was burnt and the relics looted in the past.
The director of information and culture, Ahamd Shah Omari, in an exclusive interview with Pajhwok Afghan News said majority of the 41 historical sites had been destroyed and looted during the decades of wars and natural disasters.
