Afghan, Pakistani forces clash in Kunar

ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Afghan security forces and Pakistani military forces have clashed on Durand Line in the Dangam district of eastern Kuanr province, according to a government official and local residents on Monday.

The clash happened in the Bainshai locality on Sunday evening.

A local resident on the condition of anonymity said: “The clash happened when Pakistani forces wanted to construct military installation on Zero point. Afghan security forces stopped them and ultimately they got indulged in fire fight.”

Qatlan, a local tribal elder, said Pakistani forces targeted the Paishinai, Sour Kamar, Zor, Barol areas with artillery but caused no casualties.

Kunar Information Department Director Mawlavi Najibullah Hanif acknowledgd the clash between Pakitani and Afghan forces but said no side suffered casualties.
