TALOQAN (Pajhwok): Health officials say the number of children suffering from diarrhea in only two districts of northern Takhar province reached 2,000 last week.
Dr. Abdul Qahar Ahmadi, director of public health, linked the rising incidence of diarrhea among children to a shortage of clean drinking water in Bangi and Ishkamish districts.
He told Pajhwok Afghan News mobile health teams from the public health department were providing services to prevent the spread of the disease in the two districts.
