KABUL (Pajhwok): Iran on Thursday signaled its willingness for energy-sector cooperation with Afghanistan.
Visiting Iranian Energy Minister Ali Akbar Mehrabian expressed his country’s readiness for energy cooperation at a meeting here with Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi.
Problems of Afghan businessmen and refugees living in Iran and issues related to the border and transit development came up discussion at the meeting.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs quoted Mehrabian as stressing the need for implementation of the Helmand water agreement.
