KABUL (Pajhwok): In cooperation with ACTED, UNICEF wants to rebuild a hundred schools in northern Jawzjan province.
Ahmad Shah Aziz Yar, head of the UNICEF office in the northern zone, said this in a meeting with Jawzjan Education Director Mohammad Tahir Jawad on Monday.
The state-run Bakhtar News Agency quoted Aziz Yar as saying the UNICEF office would reconstruct 100 schools that were destroyed in recent incidents of violence.
ACTED, a leading global NGO, will launch the project and $30,000 would be spent on the reconstruction of each school.
