2 killed, 1 injured as motorcycles collide in Zabul

QALAT (Pajhwok): Two people were killed and a third sustained injuries in a road accident in Sewri district of southern Zabul province, police said on Friday.

The incident took place yesterday afternoon in Ahmad Shah Khel area of ​​the district, said provincial police spokesman Zabihullah Johar.

He told Pajhwok Afghan News two people died and a third was injured when two motorcycles collided in the area.

The injured person has been taken to Zabul provincial hospital and his condition is said to be stable, he added, blaming the accident on recklessness and speed.

A few weeks ago, four people were killed and a child injured in a traffic accident on the Kabul-Kandahar highway near Qalat, the provincial capital. The accident happened when a three-wheeler crashed into a truck.
