KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): A water reservoir that took 15 months to be constructed was inaugurated on Thursday in Kandahar City, the capital of southern Kandahar province.
Rural Rehabilitation and Development Director Eng. AsadullahAmmar told Pajhwok Afghan News the Miyanko water reservoir in the 9th Police District was completed in 200 working days at a cost of 17 million afs provided by the Ministry of Finance.
He said the dam has the capacity to store 600,000 cubic metre of water and it will harvest rainwater which will have a positive impact on the underground water level.
