MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): Hundreds of poor , displaced and flood affected families received food and cash assistance in Maidan Wardak and Laghman provinces, officials said on Thursday.
Maulvi Faizullah Jalali, director of Maidan Wardak Disaster Management Authority, told Pajhwok Afghan News that 151 food affected families were distributed 2.114 million afghanis by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) in Syedabad and Chak districts.
The eligible families were identified in a survey conducted a month ago and each family received 14,000 afghanis, he added.
