KABUL (Pajhwok): Pakistani and Russian special envoys for Afghanistan have underscored the need to support continued engagement between the Interim Afghan Government and the international community.
Pakistan special envoy for Afghanistan Mohammad Sadiq last night tweeted that he met with his Russian counterpart Zamir Kabulov in Moscow.
“We reviewed the situation in Afghanistan. I shared Pakistan’s perspective and the efforts by the Government to promote stability and strengthen economic activity in Afghanistan,” Sadiq wrote.
He added they underscored the need to support continued engagement between the Interim Afghan Government and the international community.
“Pakistan and Russian Federation share similar views on the situation in Afghanistan. We agreed to continue our consultations in the future.”
