LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Forty small bridges destroyed during the past war have been repaired and put into service in southern Helmand province, an official said on Wednesday.
The culverts on the outskirts of Lashkargah and on the Helmand-Kandahar highway consumed 22.5 million afghanis provided by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Lashkargah municipality official Mohammad Abbas Zeerak told Pajhwok the culverts had been destroyed during the past war and were repaired by Afghan Society and Health Rehabilitation Organization under supervision of Lashkargah municipality.
The reconstruction of the small bridges consumed 22.5 million afghanis provided by UNHCR . . .
